Our FC was just laughing his ass off on comms. I don't think he gave one specific bit of information at all throughout any of it - never said how many there were, never said who "they" were, never called out any ship names, never gave a specific number when asked how many were in local ("a lot" was his answer). "Oh my god, holy crap, there's so many of them. Nothing could have prepared any of for what happened when he made his next jump. He jumps ahead, mumbles out some half-coherent info, we follow.Īs you probably guessed, one jump in particular was special. Well, we went on anyhow, things going pretty normal. Guess who got put on victim (I mean vanguard) duty last night? That guy! "Well, he's in the tankiest ship," was the reason behind that, but I think our FC just wanted to see what would happen and is secretly a sadist. He lost 4 retrievers to high sec belt rats while afk mining, if that's any indication. Haven't had much to that magnitude since, but any night we don't get blobbed by EVE-Uni is usually a good night.Īnyhow.we have one dude in this corp that is, put nicely, not very in tune with what's going on. It makes things fun as we're not afraid to lose ships, and one or two kills will usually let us break even on efficiency if everyone gets blown up.Ĭase and point, about two months ago we managed an engagement where we took out 1 billion in kills and only suffered 10 million in losses. We fly mainly T1 frigates or cruisers, T2 fitted T1 ships for the vets is about as expensive as they get. We do small-ish PvE and PvP roams - lowsec sites, WHs, null roams, etc. I have an alt character in what's more or less the sister corp to my main character's indy corp. So, fun stories from a weekend of fleet nights. Keep in mind if you're flying that blinged out of a ship, you're a possible gank target. If you can fly gallente marauders, a corpie put together a Kronos fit that has some ridiculous damage on it to match the tank. There are better hulls out there with much more suitable bonuses. I'm sure you can manage a missioning fit out of it, but I haven't tried and don't have the desire to attempt one. Not to mention, the thing costs a fortune right now - 1.5 bil according to eve-central. So a slight damage boost, no bonuses to tank, gallente bonus wasted on mods you won't be using, and a role bonus that merely makes your missiles get to the target faster. Role Bonus - 200% increase to missile velocity, 50% penalty to missile flight time Gallente Bonus per level - 10% bonus to warp scram/disrupt range I don't think the Barghest gives very mission-appropriate bonuses.Ĭaldari Bonus per level - 5% missile damage Opinions?ĭepends on your missioning style. I wouldn't think it would be able to be perma tanked like a Golem though. How is it for lvl 4 missions? I heard someone say it's better than a Golem. I noticed that there is a new battleship called the Barghest. Not a bad chunk of change to get restarted. I saw that I had 4500 AUR accumulated (does it passively accumulate or did we get a bunch of free AUR in the past?), bought a bunch of stuff that I quickly converted into 600 mil isk.
